Visiting Great-Grandma

We went to Captiva Island in Florida in mid-March and stopped in Fort Myers to visit my Grandmother, Aunt, Uncle and Cousins. Thought you might want to see a few pictures from the visit. Grandma fell and broke her wrist recently and had surgery, but is doing well. We think about them all the time. Olivia keeps asking when "we're going back to Florida to visit Great-Grandma."

By the way... Olivia is famous. She is quoted prominently in this Sunday's Easter sermon, The Because of Things, by one of the premier preachers in Western Christendom, our own Rev. Elizabeth Kaeton.

Part of that sermon was picked up by the Star Ledger on page two of Sunday's edition. Really.

Rabbit Stew

I took last Thursday off. After picking Olivia up from school (where she made those fantastic ears you see in the picture) we went to the mall to visit the Easter Bunny.

The woman taking the pictures was busy hocking photos and cheap frames to waiting parents, so Olivia had a nice long conversation with the large rodent.

There was a beat of about thirty seconds, then Olivia turns to him, looks up in his face and says, "Lots of candy, or, KRRUUUUCCTTT," (while making a slashing movement over her throat), "rabbit stew!"
