Olivia and I made a few pieces together at home and I brought them in to glaze the following week. She loves them!

The pitchers! The glaze came out nice and even, no pock marks or crawling. I prefer the handle form on the right, but I don't like the plum glaze on the handle on the right.
The one on the left has an interesting loop on the bottom of the handle. I like the way that looks. Thanks Carla!
The cat (glazed in pussy willow) and the 'rickety dog' as O calls him (glazed in smoky brown)
This is all of the stuff O and I made.

The colors are plum on the inside and white on the out. The white is actually over the plum on the overlap.
Representationally, it is supposed to look like blood on the inside. Yes, I know that's a little morbid, but think of it as the blood and water mixing in the life and death of Christ.

The pitchers are great. Which one will you use for Sunday?
You have a rather more bloody christology/soteriology than I might have guessed...
Jim,
I hate to admit it, but I think your description of the first two is somewhat accurate. That being said, the shapes are nice LOL.
However, the two pitchers are indeed beautiful and either handle looks great on them. The color choices are perfect as well.
Your 'handless' cups are neat. I was thinking of mine (ahem), being used on my desk for pencils, etc.
Keep it up. Remember what Edison said after about his 20 failure with the bulb. His assistant commented that they had failed so many times and Edison said (supposedly) that they had no failed but they had tried and learned. He had better composure than I do.
Yes. It is completely accurate. The glaze on those two pieces is awful.
I make those handle-less cups/mugs all the time. I'd be happy to share them with you. Take a look at the glazes and let me know what you'd like. I make my wife crazy with all of them. There are far too many in the house. My office is littered with pottery. I think I'll be blogging soon about what happens when your house becomes overwhelmed with your art.
God Bless Georgia and the family.
With all due respect, I know your sermon will be better than those first two plates. Hahahah!
I have the same problem with space in my home with all the art I collect. The pictures are little problem for I keep changing them although I'd like to show them all off all the time. As for my collected potter, stained glass, statuary etc???? I thought about adding a new wing but hardly possible. Since I'm addicted to collecting, I just keep "cramming" them in. Then too I have no wife to "guide me".
Jim, love the two white and plum pitchers. I collect small pitchers (something the girls did for me), do you have any for the sale?
